Registering with us
We have set up a new improved online registration service called LOCATE. British nationals travelling or living abroad can register themselves with the Embassy, and we strongly recommend that you do so! This new service will improve our ability to provide help in crisis situations and give us better information with whom we can liaise with friends and family at home.
Whether you are travelling for business or pleasure, you will only need to register once. The Registration details will remain on LOCATE for the duration of your visit. You can register in advance as LOCATE will accept details of travel abroad up to one year ahead.
If you registered with the Embassy before January 2008, unfortunately your details have not been transferred to the new system. We would be very grateful if you can register again with us, sorry for the inconvenience.

HOT TIPS!
If you are resident in Bolivia, the longest amount of time you can register for is one year. But at the end of the year the system will automatically generate an email (so please include your email address) that asks if you wish to remain registered.
You have to create a trip in order for the system to recognise you. If you are resident in Bolivia please ensure your trip is in Bolivia. Otherwise your registration will go somewhere else!
