Chevening scholarships
The British Chevening Scholarships are funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and administered by the British Council. These are prestigious awards which enable overseas students to study in the United Kingdom.
Scholarships are offered in over 150 countries and enable talented graduates and young professionals to become familiar with the UK and gain skills which will benefit their countries.
In Bolivia, the British Chevening Scholarships are aimed at Bolivians with leadership qualities, working for leading institutions in sectors such as private and public companies, political and environmental circles, the civil service, and social organisations. Almost 50 Bolivians have benefited from this scheme since 1984.
The awards are for one year of postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom. The award normally covers the tuition fees in Britain and assistance on selecting and obtaining placement on a suitable course.
